At the time of this recording, there were only two females in the room. Listen carefully as you will here on-going comments throughout this recording, including a male voice asking if we are leaving today. None of the soft female voices belong to either of us, nor the wooooooooooooo sound or the frantic voice saying
"Turn on the light."
(no man was present).

There
is a story behind this EVP.
Adam (from the Hawthorne Hotel) graciously
took us
around old Salem one evening after his late shift
was over.
This EVP was captured at the Witches Memorial
by the Old Burying
Point Cemetery.
The three of us were alone in the area and were about to
begin an EVP
session when the three of us heard
indistinguishable female voices.
In fact, you will hear us comment on them.
At the very beginning of
the clip, a female voice is clearly heard speaking, although no one
else was present other than three of us.
The female voice is so clear she sounds as if she is holding the recorder herself. What makes this EVP unusual is the conversation we had about the voices we heard.
The conversation happened before I
turned on the recorder,
yet the EVP captured is prior to our baffled
comments.
Not An EVP But Still Quite Interesting
I discovered this
message on my private, unlisted home phone,
not once but twice. The
one posted here is the from
the first instance on July 1, 2009.
The second time
was on July 17, 2009.
Neither time did the call show up on any of my
phones
caller I.D. systems, however the voice message recorder
did
date and time stamp each call.
I have since contacted my phone service
provider and,
inevitably, the legal compliance company that is in charge
of tracing calls (used by law enforcement agencies, etc.).
According
to their records, there were NO incoming calls
AT ALL to my private
phone on July 1, 2009.
On July 17, 2009 the records show there were
several
incoming calls that day, however, NONE during the
1 & 1/2 hr time
span before, during, or the 1 & 1/2 hr after
this mysterious message
appeared on my voice message machine.
