Star of India
On April 18, 2009 Journey Paranormal Society™ invited North Orange County Paranormal Society and Psychic, JohnMichael Capaldi to join them on an investigation of the Star of India, the oldest active ship in the world.
Built in 1863 at Ramsey Shipyard in the Isle of Man,
The Star of India was originally named Euterpe. She had two near disastrous sails to India, one leading to the death of her captain, who was buried at sea.
She made 21 circumnavigations, transporting emigrants from London to New Zealand. In 1902 she was sold to American owners and continued sailing and transporting fishermen until 1923. In 1926 she was purchased by a gentleman, Jerry MacMullen, from San Diego- and moved there. Unfortunately, she sat deteriorating until 1957 when Captain Alan Villiers noticed her. Capt. Villiers began efforts to raise funds
and solicited volunteers
to help refurbish the ship.
By 1976 she was fully restored.
The Star of India now sails at least once a year, making her the oldest active ship of any kind in the world.

This is a photo of Jessica. She had asked me to take a photograph of her leg because she felt something grab on to it. Sure enough, the lower half of her leg appears to be missing,
